Wakefield House Extension

PARKdesigned have recently submitted for Planning Approval for a front extension and internal alteration to a house in Wakefield. The current house layout has been changed ad-hoc over the years and no longer works for modern living. The client came to PARKdesigned to alter the existing internal layout so the family can enjoy being together in one space but still have the opportunity to find their own personal areas should they wish. They also wanted to make the most of the garden views and improve the front of the house.

A front extension has been proposed that provides a new entrance area along with additional space to the first floor. The internal layout has been completely changed to provide an open kitchen/living/dining area at the rear of the house. The existing garage that was not used has been turned into a WC, Utility and Gym. The new layout on the ground now makes the living spaces have a light and airy feel. Upstairs, the bathroom has been reconfigured to provide additional space.
