Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Achievements at PARKdesigned
As we close the chapter on 2024, we take a moment to reflect on the successes, challenges, and milestones that defined this remarkable year at PARKdesigned. This year, we continued to push the boundaries of architectural innovation while staying true to our ethos of creating inspiring spaces on time and within budget. Here’s a look back at what we’ve achieved.
Expanding Our Portfolio in Leeds and Beyond
2024 has been a year of significant accomplishments. Our project at 16-28 Bonnersfield Lane, Harrow, saw tremendous progress. This mixed-use development includes a five-story residential and commercial building along with six modern mews houses. It’s a design that marries urban living with community-focused spaces and reflects our commitment to thoughtful architecture.
In Leeds, our work on the Energy Centre showcased our dedication to sustainability. Located in the southeast of the city, this facility distributes heat and power efficiently, significantly enhancing the area’s energy performance and aligning with our focus on environmental responsibility.
Innovative Approaches to Waste and Energy Projects
Sustainability remained a cornerstone of our practice in 2024. A standout project was our collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and Vital Energi to implement energy-efficient solutions. This initiative highlights our ability to design systems that not only meet operational demands but also contribute to a more sustainable future.
Strengthening Client Relationships and Community Engagement
Building strong partnerships was a defining feature of 2024. Our work with Seagulls, a social enterprise focused on recycling unused paint, helped them relocate to a new site in Holbeck. This project not only supported their mission but also reinforced our commitment to community-focused design.
We also took part in the Property Catalyst Lunch in Leeds, engaging with industry leaders and contributing to conversations about the future of the built environment. Events like this are invaluable in fostering relationships and staying at the forefront of architectural trends.
Spotlight on Residential Projects
Residential architecture was another highlight this year. The transformation of Farsley Liberal Club into a modern residential complex blends historical preservation with contemporary living spaces. Meanwhile, our Holmfield development in Roundhay turned an existing care home into nine luxurious apartments, setting a new standard for high-end residential projects in the area.
Celebrating Team Achievements
Our team continued to excel in 2024, gaining recognition and advancing professionally. We were proud to achieve SafeSupplier verification, underscoring our commitment to quality and sustainability. Additionally, we embraced innovation with a hands-on session on Generative AI in architecture, exploring how this technology can enhance our design processes.
Looking Forward
As we step into 2025, we do so with a sense of pride and anticipation. The experiences of 2024 have not only strengthened our foundations but also inspired us to aim higher. We look forward to continuing our journey with our clients, creating spaces that inspire and add value for years to come.
Thank you to all our clients, partners, and supporters who have been part of our journey this year. Here’s to another year of innovation, collaboration, and success!
