PRIVATE HOUSE EXTENSION KIRKLEES
PARKdesigned have recently submitted for Planning Approval for a two storey side extension and single storey rear extension to the rear of a house in Drub village. The existing floor layouts have also been re-arranged.
The current single storey extension at the rear of the property has been extended to connect to the existing property. This opens up the property at the back to facilitate a large open plan living space. New large bi-fold doors on the rear provide plentiful natural light and the opportunity to open up onto the outside patio space to enjoy the fantastic views.
The kitchen and dining have been relocated into the existing lounge area. A hidden pantry has also been designed between the new kitchen units to provide the client with additional storage space.
The new garage extension facilitates a generous studio space in the loft, accessed via a feature staircase at the rear. The mezzanine floor looks out over the double height space to the garden at the rear.
We have also adjusted the main staircase to provide extra space at the half landing level, giving the possibility of seating, looking out of the large window and also to make the entrance hallway a more coherent space.
