LEEDS ENERGY CENTRE
PARKdesigned are currently on-site with their Energy Centre in Leeds. Progress is going well with the cladding fitted and the internals now being constructed.
The Energy Centre located at Cross Green will convert the steam produced by the nearby Veolia Recycling Energy Recover Facility (RERF ) into heat and hot water. This will then be piped along the new 16.5km district heating network to 1,983 council homes and numerous businesses around Leeds City Centre. The heat is scheduled to be available for Spring 2019 with all homes connected by Autumn 2019.
