HOMIFY FEATURE LIGHT SPACE
PARKdesigned have been featured again on the Homify website. Woodlands Grove in York, has been featured as part of the ‘ Real recessed lights’ article. The brief for Woodlands Grove was to provide a light and open plan area that had well defined areas. The internal alterations consisted of new openings to create a bigger kitchen/dining area with bi-folding doors, new utility, snug, piano area and shower room. The article on homify gives examples of how to design recessed ceilings in a modern way and also how to bring light into dark areas of homes. A rooflight was designed above the piano to provide natural light into an area that was dark. The article beings:-
‘When there is a part of a room that is darker than others, it goes without saying that it needs lights. In this image it is easy to see that there is a lack of natural light all round. The skylight does offer some light into the space and helps greatly.’
