Daily sketch

Since the start of the lockdown, we have been sharing a daily sketch on our Linkedin profile. These range from prominent buildings in the architecture world to our own projects and anything in-between that gives us inspiration.

Its a great way for us to keep our creative juices flowing and take some time to appreciate what makes a well designed building. Take a look and maybe get inspired to sketch the scenes you see from your own window or garden.

This sketch is of one of our projects - The View. This was a 12 storey, 50,000sqft building that we converted from offices into 80, one and two bedroom luxury apartments.

This sketch is of Walk Barn Farm by Charles Barclay Architects. A new weekend house on the site of an old pig farm near Minsmere Bird Sanctuary in Suffolk. We love the black cladding and angled form of this building.

This sketch is of the UKs largest Passivhaus development - Agar Grove by Hawkins Brown Architects. This is a really nice scheme. We especially love the window framing and public realm space.

This sketch is of Paul Archer's Day House. We really like the use of the zinc cladding to make the house pop out of the rest of the terraces.

This sketch is of our own project Stoneleigh. The brief was to replace the existing tired, dark and dilapidated out-buildings with a contemporary kitchen/dining extension. The client wished to open up the rear of the property to create a better relationship with the garden and provide easy access for their children to play outside, whilst being able to watch them from the kitchen.
