A Memorable Networking Day at York Races

Last Friday, 13th June, we had the pleasure of hosting some of our valued clients at the historic York Racecourse for a relaxed yet engaging networking day. The event was designed to combine the enjoyment of a classic British sporting occasion with an opportunity to strengthen professional connections in an informal setting.

We kept the day simple but thoughtfully arranged, starting at midday with drinks at The York Tap, a welcoming pub located conveniently within York Station. This initial gathering allowed everyone to arrive and settle in comfortably before the races began.

By 2 pm, we were all seated in our private viewing box within the Gimcrack Stand. The location afforded excellent views across the course and ensured our group could enjoy the races in a comfortable and exclusive environment. Throughout the afternoon, drinks were flowing and a selection of nibbles was provided, contributing to the convivial atmosphere as we watched the horses compete.

The racing action continued until approximately 5.30 pm with the final race of the day. Following this, the group made their way back to York Station, where we extended the evening with further drinks, offering a chance to celebrate successes or commiserate on near misses in the races. It was an ideal way to round off the day, combining networking with a shared appreciation for the sport.

Events such as this not only provide a welcome break from the day-to-day demands of architectural projects but also allow us to deepen relationships with clients outside of the office environment. We firmly believe that these connections lead to stronger collaborations and ultimately, better outcomes for all parties involved.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us and look forward to organising similar occasions in the future, where great company and shared experiences help build the foundations for continued success.
