PARKdesigned Pass Relaunched RIBA Health and Safety Test
We are pleased to share that both of our Directors, Ed Park and James Park, have successfully completed the relaunched RIBA Health and Safety Test. As RIBA Chartered Architects, Ed and James have long championed the importance of rigorous standards in professional competence and risk management. This recent accreditation further reinforces PARKdesigned’s commitment to delivering projects that are not only well designed but also thoroughly aligned with best practice in health and safety.
The RIBA Health and Safety Test has been relaunched in response to a broader industry-wide recognition that architects must be active and informed contributors to safe design and construction practices. It forms part of the RIBA’s continued drive to improve competence in response to the Building Safety Act and the recommendations of the Hackitt Report. The revised assessment covers a comprehensive body of knowledge essential for understanding and managing risk in architectural design. Topics include the roles and responsibilities under current health and safety legislation, principles of design risk management and the importance of communication and coordination with other duty holders.
The updated test is a key part of the RIBA’s mandatory Continuing Professional Development requirements for Chartered Members. By successfully completing it, Ed and James demonstrate not only compliance but a proactive approach to enhancing our team’s collective competence. This qualification ensures that PARKdesigned remains aligned with current regulatory frameworks and contributes meaningfully to a safer built environment.
At PARKdesigned, we believe that good design and safety are inseparable. From early-stage feasibility through to detailed delivery, health and safety considerations are embedded throughout our process. The success of Ed and James in this latest qualification reinforces that commitment at leadership level and supports the continual development of our in-house expertise.
