Wakefield Residential Development

PARKdesigned recently visited the Manygates scheme in Wakefield to see how the construction was progressing. It was amazing to see that the existing building has been transformed into a wonderful bright residential building.

The existing building was in a very bad state of repair and required a complete refurbishment. Since starting in October 2019 the contractors have managed to make the building secure and nearly completed the first floor. It is wonderful to see that life has been brought back to such a prominent building.

The former maternity hospital is being converted into 14 modern apartments. This scheme is part of a large development that involves converting two other existing buildings that are also in a very bad state of disrepair and constructing a new 18 unit apartment building.
