Residential Extension Leeds
Our project on Calverley Lane is progressing well and remains on course for completion in the summer. We announced the commencement of the on-site work for the house in the Leeds Greenbelt in February and significant headway has been made in the time since.
The scheme is an extension and basement conversion that will provide an open plan kitchen/living/dining room, a new up and over bay window with a pivot door and the lowering of the basement to provide a usable office space for the client.
The contractors on this project, Bourke Build, have checked off much of the early work such as the gas main application, the removal of the front wall and the excavation of the front.
The schedule was affected by the discovery of a well in the back garden which we hadn’t been made aware of, but although this did halt the works we were able to fill in the well and get back on track.
The roof has been constructed and the remainder of April will see roof coverings and copings put in place. The next few weeks will also see works to the front and basement retaining walls continue as well as slab preparation to the rear extension and reduce the levels to the basement.
With things moving along well, we still expect the project to be completed by the end of August.
