PARKdesigned Christmas Party
Our Christmas celebration in Leeds was a timely reminder that strong teams are built not only through projects and deadlines, but through shared experiences beyond the studio.
PARKdesigned Christmas Party 2025: A Leeds Team Celebration
As Leeds architects delivering complex commercial, waste and energy projects across the region, our day to day focus is firmly on performance, coordination and delivery. However, the end of year provides an important opportunity to step back and recognise the collective effort behind every successful scheme.
This year’s PARKdesigned Christmas party took us across Leeds for an evening that combined competition, great food and well earned celebration.
Competitive Start at Sixes, Headingley
We began the evening at Sixes Social Cricket - Headingley in Headingley. For a practice that thrives on precision and performance, the competitive format proved fitting.
After a series of fiercely contested rounds, James emerged as the overall winner. The victory was well earned and will no doubt be referenced frequently over the coming months.
More importantly, the session provided a relaxed setting for the team to connect outside of project reviews and design meetings. For growing Leeds architecture practices, maintaining cohesion across architects, technologists and consultants is critical. Informal settings such as this reinforce the collaborative culture that underpins our work.
Headingley Hospitality
Following Sixes, we stayed in Headingley for a few drinks, taking advantage of the lively local atmosphere. Leeds continues to evolve as a city, not only through commercial and residential development, but through its strong hospitality and independent business scene.
As Leeds architects, we spend much of our time shaping environments across the city. Evenings like this provide a chance to experience those spaces from the other side, as users rather than designers.
Dinner at Shears Yard
The evening continued with dinner at Shears Yard in Leeds. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for a more reflective part of the night, with an excellent meal and time to acknowledge the year’s achievements.
Over the past twelve months, our team has progressed a range of commercial and specialist projects, navigated complex planning environments and continued to adapt to evolving regulatory frameworks. Success in these areas depends on rigorous coordination and shared commitment. The Christmas party is a moment to recognise that contribution collectively.
Building a Strong Leeds Architecture Team
For any Leeds architecture practice, culture is not incidental. It directly affects project outcomes. A cohesive team communicates more clearly, resolves technical challenges more efficiently and maintains a consistent standard of delivery across sectors.
While our public profile is shaped by the buildings we design, the foundation of that work lies in the strength of our internal collaboration. Investing time in team development, even in informal settings, contributes to long term performance.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we move into a new year of commercial and specialist architectural projects in Leeds and beyond, the focus remains unchanged. We will continue to deliver logically considered buildings that balance design quality with commercial reality.
The Christmas celebration marked the end of a demanding year and the start of the next phase of growth for PARKdesigned. We look forward to continuing to shape Leeds through thoughtful, commercially grounded architecture while maintaining the strong team culture that makes that possible.
