NEW INDUSTRIAL UNIT DEWSBURY

PARKdesigned have recently completed a 30,000sqft industrial unit and office in Dewsbury. The new purpose built warehouse for Martech in Dewsbury was a ‘design and build’ scheme with Adamco construction. It will house 100 members of staff for one of the largest manufacturers of LED downlights in the UK.

The project is part of a three phase scheme that will consist of an additional 25,000sqft storage unit and a 20,000sqft HQ office building. The design recognises the wide range of skills and the differences between craft based and professional based activities that need to be carefully respected. Appropriate segregation is managed well but there are opportunities where the groups of users may associate freely in a central atrium space. The central atrium space is to be constructed as part of phase 3. Phase one was built on time and within budget.
