new industrial office and manufacturing facility
We are currently working on the construction of a new industrial office and manufacturing facility for Sueno Beds. The project will see the existing warehouse unit at the site demolished so that a new commercial building can be erected in its place, featuring a retail warehouse, showroom and office space.
The client, Sueno, is an independent family-run business based in Dewsbury that has been handcrafting beds and mattresses for over 30 years. The site is located within the industrial part of the Saville Town suburb surrounded by industrial units of different sizes. It is in close proximity to Dewsbury town centre with good public transport links; the train station is just a seven minute drive and a 30 minute walk away.
Upon completion, the building will be four storeys tall and the site will feature a new car park. The building’s ground floor will accommodate warehouse space and supplementary facilities including a reception area with the main entrance, a canteen area, meeting rooms and employee service rooms. The second and third floors will be office space, with the second having room for 52 desks and the third separated into five smaller workspaces. The fourth floor will house a large showroom and a small open plan office. On all floors an area will be allocated for services such as toilets, changing rooms, storage and kitchen. The interior design includes a gallery entrance space, spanning the height of the office block front.
Regarding the exterior, the property’s front elevation will utilize polyester powder coated aluminum glazed screen for the windows and doors in addition to a translucent poly-carbonate panel facade system. Both sides of the property, east and west, will also use the same glazed screen, while the rear elevation will be constructed using a pre-cast concrete panel facade system.
It should fit in well with the already existing architecture in the area and we look forward to updating you as the project progresses.
