Muntons Energy Centre

PARKdesigned are pleased to announce that construction has begun on a new energy centre for Muntons in Stowmarket.

Muntons is a leading supplier of malts and malted ingredients to the food and drinks industry worldwide. Improvements to the existing site are to enable the company to hit its greenhouse gas emission targets. The large energy centre measuring 28metres in height will use local off-cut forestry materials and spent grain from its brewing operations to create energy, instead of being transported off site to the feed industry.

The design of the building deliberately highlights the processes of the energy centre with the black cladding and semi-translucent materials empathizing this approach. Construction is due for completion April 2021.
