Halifax house alteration and extension

PARKdesigned are nearing completion on the refurbishment and rear extension to a house in Halifax. The windows, doors and 4 skylights were fitted by Express bi-folding doors before Christmas allowing the contractors to begin the plastering and internal finishes.

The large rear extension measuring 100m² provides the client with an open plan living/kitchen/dining area. A split level has been designed to help break up the space with the living area at a lower level to the dining/kitchen. The living area not only has wonderful views across the clients garden but also has a two way fireplace that is shared with the existing lounge.

The extension also includes a large boot room, pantry and utility. The existing house has a new staircase and games room and is also being decorated throughout.

As the garden is within the greenbelt a change of use from a paddock to a residential garden was applied for and has been granted. This has now allowed the client to extend her patio area.

The house will be completed by the end of February.
