SILVERWOOD GARDENS, WOOLLEY – COMPLETED

PARKdesigned are pleased to announce that the re-modelling of Silverwood Gardens, a 70’s system built dwelling is completed. The design provides the client with a cohesive and elegant form that removes the ad-hoc extensions which have been provided over the years.

The work undertaken included removing the tired conservatory and rear kitchen extension and replacing them with a single story wrap-around side and rear extension aesthetically linked in with the existing ground floor. The new roof is a modern standing seam high performance zinc roof to a shallow pitch. The interior is dry lined to an high thermal performance criteria providing intense daylight through glazed folding doors and rooflights.

During the works the owners took the opportunity to replace the first floor timber cladding and windows to the original building which were deteriorating with age and this has also increased the thermal insulation rating of the building. The extension was within the greenbelt area and special consideration was given in conjunction with the Planners to the design.
