HOUSE EXTENSION SHADWELL

PARKdesigned have recently submitted for planning approval for the conversion and extension of a house in Shadwell, Leeds. The proposals for the conversion and extension of the house take the form of a small infill glazed element and the demolition and re-building of the ‘outbuilding’ element of the existing house. The glazed infill will sit between the two building forms on the site providing a new side entrance from the dwelling’s parking area. The re-built ‘outbuilding’ will sit on the same footprint of the existing building it is replacing.

The existing buildings on the site comprise a double fronted Victorian era house with associated extension and an outbuilding stemming into the external curtilage of the house, enclosing a parking / outdoor area. To the frontage and side of the house are stone built walls to the back of the existing footpath. The boundaries of the site to the North and East are defined by walls of the property and buildings in adjacent ownerships.
