Early Sketch Designs for a New Wedding Venue at a Local Golf Course

We’re currently in the early stages of an exciting new project — exploring initial sketch options for a new wedding venue at a local golf course.

As commercial architects, this type of leisure and hospitality project is exactly where we thrive. Turning a vision into a feasible, atmospheric venue that enhances its setting is one of the most rewarding parts of our work.

Feasibility Stage: Bringing Ideas to Life

At this point in the process, our focus is on feasibility and concept development. We’ve prepared two initial sketch options to help the client visualise key aspects of the proposal, including:

  • The overall atmosphere and guest experience

  • How the building will connect with the surrounding landscape

  • The relationship between indoor spaces and outdoor views

  • Scale, form, and integration with the existing golf course environment

These early sketches are intentionally loose but highly effective. They allow us to test ideas quickly, gather feedback, and ensure the design feels grounded and intentional before investing in more detailed work.

The Importance of Early-Stage Exploration

For commercial projects like wedding venues, getting the fundamentals right at the concept stage is critical. It ensures the final building not only looks beautiful but also functions seamlessly for guests, staff, and operators while respecting its natural setting.

Our approach as commercial architects combines creative design with practical commercial insight — helping clients create venues that are both architecturally striking and commercially viable.

Next Steps in the Design Journey

There is still plenty of refinement ahead. We’ll be iterating on these initial concepts based on client feedback, technical considerations, and detailed site analysis before moving into more developed proposals.

We look forward to sharing future updates as this wedding venue project progresses.
