Chapel Allerton Conservation Area

Work has begun on our residential extension for two houses in the Conservation of Chapel Allerton. After the client having planning refused they came to PARKdesigned for help. Following a carefully detailed design to be in keeping with the existing house but having a modern twist, we were able to obtain full planning for both clients.

Both briefs were very different but we managed to design an extension externally that pleased Leeds Planning department and also the clients. The key to the design was to strike a balance between preserving the historic character of the area and incorporating modern elements that meet the needs of the occupants. The project has now moved onto site where we can not wait for it to start coming out of the ground.
