ARCHITECT IN THE HOUSE
PARKdesigned architects are taking part in “ARCHITECT IN THE HOUSE“. The scheme allows the public to a consultation at their home with an architect for just a donation to shelter. The scheme is brought to you by Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Shelter.
Once you’ve registered you’ll be matched with a local RIBA, RIAS or RSUA chartered architect who will then arrange to visit you to discuss your project, and find the best way to solve your style, space or light dilemmas. And if you feel like giving something back, you can make a donation to Shelter. £45 is the suggested amount – enough to help at least two homeless families find a home this year.
How the scheme works:
1 – Register
Register for Architect in the House using this simple form.
2 – Match
Once you’ve registered with Architect in the House, we’ll match you with a local chartered architect from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) or the Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA).
When we’ve found your perfect match, we’ll email you their details, so you can get in touch with them to arrange your consultation.
3 – Meet
If possible, please try and meet before 30 November 2013.
After your consultation, it’s up to you whether to go ahead with the project. If you do, we’d love to see photos of the end result!
4 – Donate
Your consultation is free – but we’d love you to make a donation to Shelter. We suggest £45, but it’s up to you how much you choose to give. Donate online
5 – A better future
Thousands of children in Britain wake up every day without a permanent place to call home. It affects their lives, their education and wellbeing. Your £45 is enough for our housing advisers to help at least two families find a home.
