ABOUT THE PROJECT

PARKdesigned were instructed by a private client to update and extend their newly purchased home. An extension was designed and built that spans the rear of the property providing a generous garden room, with large expanses of glazing and bi-folding doors. At the heart of the space is the kitchen with a large island for storage and seating. A separate pantry has also been incorporated within the space to provide additional storage. A utility room is located between the garage and the kitchen to create a transitional zone in which to transport shopping or washing etc. The former dining room has been re-purposed into a “Cinema Room” which has comfortable seating to watch the latest movies with the dining area now re-located to the open plan area at the rear of the house.
