ABOUT THE PROJECT
PARKdesigned a leading retail architecture firm in Leeds, was commissioned by a private client to design the city's inaugural Chatime outlet. This specialist tea house, renowned globally for its bubble tea offerings, opened its first Leeds franchise in the Merrion Centre, situated at 44a Woodhouse Lane.
The design objective was to create a calming environment that harmoniously blended Chatime's distinctive branding with natural elements. To achieve this, PARKdesigned incorporated materials such as aged timber and natural moss, providing a serene retreat from the bustling surroundings of Woodhouse Lane. This approach not only aligned with the brand's aesthetic but also enhanced the customer experience by offering a welcoming and light-filled space.
In addition to the interior design, PARKdesigned reconfigured the internal layout to maximise seating capacity, accommodating 15 to 18 tea enthusiasts. This strategic reorganisation ensured that the space could comfortably host customers wishing to enjoy their beverages on-site, thereby fostering a sense of community within the tea house.
Chatime Leeds offers an extensive menu of over 50 flavours, including fruit teas, milk teas, and refreshing coolers, all crafted with the highest quality ingredients. Customers can personalise their drinks with a variety of edible 'pearls' and fruit toppings, enhancing the interactive and enjoyable nature of the bubble tea experience.
The successful execution of this project underscores PARKdesigned's expertise in retail architecture within Leeds, particularly in creating spaces that are both functional and reflective of a brand's identity. By integrating natural materials and thoughtful design elements, PARKdesigned has established a venue that not only serves as a place to enjoy speciality teas but also as a calming oasis amidst the city's vibrant atmosphere.
As experienced retail architects in Leeds, PARKdesigned continues to deliver innovative design solutions that cater to the unique needs of each client, enhancing the retail landscape of the city.
